Daily Harvest Origin Story
Daily Harvest sprouted in 2015, when founder Rachel Drori realized that she was sacrificing her health for the convenience of “fast” food, and the rest of America was doing the same. She was working hard and knew the things she should be eating, but had to settle for things that were convenient. She hated that many people had to choose daily between nutrition, convenience, and sustainability for themselves and their families. She learned there were systemic reasons as to why the food she wanted to eat did not exist, including how food was created and produced. She decided to change this and challenge the status quo by bringing delicious, nourishing, and sustainable food to the world in convenient ready to made options. And thus, Daily Harvest was born.
First known for their ready-to-make smoothies, Daily Harvest has since expanded to over 85 options from breakfast to dinner. Today, Daily Harvest delivers to millions of customers across the US, sending out smoothies, lattes, forager bowls, flatbreads, and even plant-based ice cream to stock their homes. All items come frozen so they are easy to store and don’t go bad, and Daily Harvest’s team of Chefs and Nutritionists provide new cutting edge recipes created with their customers. Daily Harvest believes in a world well fed and makes it easier to eat real fruits and vegetables everyday.
