Firstleaf wants to be the most customer-centric wine club available. Founder Philip James wanted to connect consumers with the thousands of great wines available on the market. He knew people wanted to order wine online but they were worried about paying for a case of wine they didn’t like, sending money and often the wine going down the drain. So, he worked with wine experts, scientists, and engineers to come up with Firstleaf’s successful patent-pending quiz that has become synonymous with its brand. The quiz uses responses, consumer ratings, and analysis of wine blends to match consumers’ palates with the best wines for them. James also worked directly with wineries and winemakers to cut out the middlemen and offer great wines at a fraction of the price.
Since launch, Firstleaf has received over 1,000,000 customer ratings, which makes the quiz even more accurate. Firstleaf has won over 1,600 awards based on their product, and have created over 400 wines to meet their over 15,000 members’ exact taste preferences, working towards James’s goal to be the most consumer centric wine club available.
