About Warp + Weft

Warp + Weft makes their own denim from special fabrics that make for incredible value, comfort, style, and fit. Firmly dedicated to making the best possible conditions for their workers and the environment, Warp + Weft has inclusivity and passion for jeans in their genes.

Why We Love Them

Think you’ve been there, done that when it comes to jeans? Think again. These ain’t your daddy’s denim, and they’re for everybody.

Origin Story

Who doesn’t love jeans? They’re comfy, easy to wear…and too often, harmful for the environment and exclusive to certain body types. Sarah Ahmed set out to amend these failures of denim, and she did so in fantastic style. With their family a part of the denim business for three decades, a massive, eco-friendly manufacturing mill was at their service. This allows Warp + Weft to craft their denim themselves, rather than buying it as most companies do. Ahmed revitalized her company in 2018, generating over 2.5 million in revenue in less than a year. She did this by expanding the collection of jeans, making it so every body could find a fit. Through specially sourced cotton, Lycra, Tencel, and other fabrics, Warp + Weft creates unique, comfortable, inclusive, environmentally-friendly jeans: enough adjectives that no one could resist.

The TL;DR

  • Comfortable, fashionable, affordable jeans for every size and style
  • Create their own denim, saving thousands of gallons of water and helping the environment
  • Dedicated to fair wages, ethical practices, and positive working conditions
  • Unique manufacturing techniques redefine denim jeans

The Science & The Soul

The Science

Beginning with properly sourced raw cotton, Warp + Weft uses Belgian, Italian, and Swiss weaving technology to create dozens of forms of denim. After it’s spun right, it’s time to dye, vivid colors added in. Denim blue may look nice, but it’s a bit worn out at this point. Warp + Weft creates jeans in creamy white, midnight blue, blushing crimson. Finally, the artisans use cutting-edge Gerber Technology to cut, stich, wash, and texture every pair with love and care. From the cotton plant to your legs, every step of creation is done with the utmost precision.

The Soul

Warp + Weft is dedicated to making more than a great pair of jeans. By using an in-house power plant and water treatment plant, they use less than 1% of the water and energy expended in an ordinary pair of jeans. A vast array of solar panels makes the process even greener; Warp + Weft is an industry leader in environmental friendliness.

On a personal level, these jeans were made for every pair of legs. While most of the industry reserves itself for the skinny and slim, Warp + Weft knows that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, just like their jeans. Inclusivity is a core principle of their business, and we can’t thank them enough.
