Who Is Beekeeper’s Naturals?

Beekeeper’s Naturals was founded in 2016 by Carly Stein. She had been a chronic sufferer of tonsillitis with little to no relief. When she was traveling abroad during a college trip, she had a horrible flare-up and needed to find something to help so she wouldn’t have to go home. Luckily, she was in Italy at the time and found a smaller local pharmacy that had some more holistic options than she was used to seeing. This is where she found propolis for the first time. She was willing to try anything and was glad she did because the next day she was already recovered.

Beekeepers Naturals Company

At this point, she knew she was onto something that really worked. When she came back to the States, she realized that propolis was nowhere to be found at home. So, she went about creating her own products for herself instead. It was at this point that she started selling her propolis healthcare products at farmer’s markets and to friends. The products were so well loved that it was the beginning of Beekeeper’s Naturals.

Carly became such a huge fan of bees that she became a beekeeper herself. She is a big advocate of sustainable beekeeping and ensures any and all apiaries they use are green and sustainable. Plus, her company partners with The University of California Davis Bee Research Facility to help promote pollinator awareness and protection. And they give 10% of their apparel line profits to them to help keep the mission going. Pretty sweet!

Beekeeper’s Naturals Testing And Performance

As someone who has had seasonal allergies most of my life, I’m no stranger to a cough or sore throat. But, I don’t like things like this to hold me down. And I detest taking conventional medicines to help mask the symptoms. I would much rather prefer to take something that is going to help my body holistically heal itself instead.

This is where a company like Beekeeper’s Naturals comes into play. When I heard about them, I knew I had to give them a try. I decided to order 3 products that I thought I would get the most use out of to see how they compared to other products I’ve tried in the past.

B.Immune Throat Spray

The first product I tried from them was their B.Immune Throat Spray. Since I’m more prone to sore throats from both seasonal allergies and talking a lot due to teaching, this one seemed like a natural fit.

Testing Beekeepers Throat Spray

The throat spray felt really nice and coating when I sprayed it the very first time. There isn’t really much flavor to the spray, which made it even better in my opinion. If a product like this doesn’t have a strong flavor, then it’s more accessible to more consumers. This is probably due to the reduced ingredient list:

The backpack has 2 large pockets to maximize the usability, since it’s actually a bit smaller than all of the other laptop backpacks I’ve tried in the past. The fact that it’s a bit smaller was actually a huge bonus for me. Since the backpack felt a bit more restrained, it was easier for me to choose the items I really needed to put in there and made it more functional for me.

  • Bee Propolis Extract
  • Vegetable Glycerin
  • Purified Water

I first used this after teaching all day and used the recommended 4 sprays that night. The next day I did feel a bit better. So I gave myself another dose the following morning and after that I felt fantastic. This product is now a regular in my bag. And instead of waiting until I have a sore throat, I will now use it on days that I know I’ll be talking a lot to help prevent the sore throat from ever happening in the first place.

At $13.99 for a 30ml bottle (which contains 60 servings), this is well worth the money to me.

B.Smart Brain Fuel

The B.Smart Brain Fuel comes in a small, travel size 10ml bottle. I loved how compact it was because it made traveling anywhere with it simple. The easy to pour top didn’t hurt either.

I decided to try this product for 5 days to see if I had any noticeable results with regard to cognitive function. Each 10ml bottle is one serving size and the package comes with 6 bottles. I downed a serving every morning before I started my day and quite enjoyed the flavor.

B Smart Brain Fuel review

The flavor was strongly of the honey persuasion, which I figured it might be due to the ingredients. These include:

  • Royal Jelly
  • Bacopa Monnieri Extract
  • Ginkgo Biloba
  • Vegetable Glycerin
  • Purified Water

It did also have a slightly acidic aftertaste, so I’m wondering if that is due to some of the plants that are in it. However, I used it primarily when I was getting ready for a big work trip and throughout. I had a lot of work to do and felt that it really helped me perform at the top of my game. I felt that I had extraordinary super focus powers and energy.

This was a fantastic experience that I will probably repeat again when I need extra brain power and energy. However, at $29.99 per 6 serving box, it will probably not be as frequently used as the throat spray.

B.Better Cough Syrup

I was interested to try the B.Better Cough Syrup but actually never got the chance to use it in practical application. It’s probably due to all of the mask wearing during the pandemic, but I haven’t developed any sort of cough in the past year or so.

B Better Cough Syrup Review

The ingredient list piqued my interest because of how few ingredients were in this cough syrup compared to every other brand I’ve ever tried. The only things in it are:

  • Unpasteurized Buckwheat Honey
  • Elderberry Fruit Extract
  • Bee Propolis Extract
  • Chaga Mushroom Extract
  • Grape Seed Extract
  • Olive Leaf Extract
  • Glycerin
  • Purified Water
  • Citric Acid
  • Potassium Sorbate (preservative)

I can tell you that this cough syrup smelled really nice and tasted really delicious to boot. It smelled a bit sweet with a hint of elderberry. And the flavor was even more powerful. The elderberry really came through, as did the honey, upon first taste. This cough syrup was exceptionally thick, which was really good for coating my throat. So, even though I didn’t actually need to take this cough syrup for practical application, I enjoyed the flavor enough that should I need it, I’m happy to taste it again.

If I have the opportunity to use it this winter, I’m excited to see how it performs compared to the other Beekeeper’s Naturals products I’ve tried. At $14.99 for a 4 fl oz. bottle (12 servings), it’s hard to say if it’s worth it at this point though.

Overall, I really loved both the throat spray and the brain fuel. But, I will definitely get more use out of the former and am so happy I found it.

Is Beekeeper’s Naturals Throat Spray Good Quality?

Beekeeper’s Naturals is working hard to bring good quality bee propolis to the world, sustainably. All of their products are manufactured in Canada, but are sourced from beehives mostly in the USA and Canada. There are a few hives they have in other places around the world as well.

However, each apiary they have is systematically placed to be far away from potential harmful pesticides and herbicides. Since bees typically fly about 5 miles from the hive, this can be tricky in a lot of instances. For this reason alone, they are not certified organic, as it is nearly impossible to prove that their bees haven’t gotten some potential cross contamination.

Beekeepers Naturals Quality

Due to this possibility, the company commits to third-party testing to check for chemicals and metals. It would be fantastic if they would say who they use for this third-party testing as well as produce reports of the findings though. Just this little bit of extra information would help completely ease my mind as to the stellar quality I feel the products are.

These other ingredients include:

  • Bee Pollen – nature’s multivitamin
  • Royal Jelly – supports hormonal balance and brain health
  • Raw Honey – energizing fuel source (among other things)
  • Buckwheat Honey – high in antioxidants
  • Bacopa Monnieri – adaptogenic brain booster
  • Ginkgo Biloba – brain booster and antioxidant
  • Coconut Derived MCT Oil – brain fuel source
  • Elderberry – immune support
  • Vitamin D – immune support
  • Chaga Mushroom – high in antioxidants
  • Vegetable Glycerin – naturally sugar free solvent

Is Beekeeper’s Naturals Throat Spray Worth It?

I found Beekeeper’s Naturals to be surprisingly effective and tasty. What the company touts they do, they do with some natural flare. I loved my experience with the products I tried. And even though the prices seemed a bit steep compared to what I’ve paid in the past for similar healthcare items, these were definitely higher quality.

Beekeepers Naturals Price

And when it comes to natural healthcare, I am more than willing to pay a bit more for products that I know work. Plus, they are huge advocates of sustainable beekeeping, which is important to me. I know, with this company, that I’m not putting toxic chemicals into my body also, that might cause unwanted side effects. I feel these products are definitely worth the slightly higher cost due to them assisting my immune system functionality. When I look at the long term benefits, it’s easy to see why they are worth every penny.

Beekeeper’s Naturals Throat Spray Summary

Ultimately, it’s difficult to find good holistic healthcare products that actually do what they claim to in a lot of instances. Beekeeper’s Naturals just happened to stumble upon one of nature’s best kept secrets in healing. And by doing so, they have helped many people get better and stay healthier season-in and season-out.

Their products are clean and easy to administer. They also taste pretty good, so that only helps the efficacy since it makes us want to take their products more regularly. I love how the company is devoted to furthering pollinator education and sustainability. Bees are an extremely important part of our world and we wouldn’t have most of the food we eat without them. Overall, I really like this company, the products they make and what they stand for. And their B.Immune Throat Spray is now a permanent part of my healthcare arsenal.
