Before any consumer decides to purchase a higher-end rug, there are bound to be questions. And since Ruggable is a slightly different type of rug company, there are more specific questions that need to be answered prior to a purchase.
Can you use Ruggable without the pad?
Not really. The Ruggable rug pad is an integral part of the whole rug system. Without the rug pad, the rug would just be a fairly thin piece of fabric on the floor. This fabric wouldn’t have anything to adhere to, so it would become a huge slipping hazard.
However, once you have a Ruggable rug pad, you can swap out the rug covers for different styles. This just adds to the company’s diversity with product offerings.
How to wash Ruggable?
For all of their rugs, you’ll want to remove the cover from the pad first. You will then put the rug cover into the washing machine with the design side down in most cases. Ruggable recommends using the delicate cycle with cold temperature to get the best results.
They say to use a delicate, non-bleach detergent on all of their rugs. And once the wash cycle is complete, the rug cover can either be hung dried or put into the dryer on low heat.
Are Ruggable rugs soft?
That depends on which rug and which rug pad you choose to go with. Their normal Classic rug pad is only ⅛” thick, which is great for low profile applications. But, it’s not going to be really soft. Especially if you pair it with the Re-Jute or Flat Weave Outdoor rug covers, which are by nature much thinner materials.
However, if you choose to go with the new Ruggable Cushioned rug pad, then you may be in for a treat. This rug pad is ⅖” thick, so you get a lot more softness and spring for your money. And if you pair it with the Chenille or Plush rug covers, then your rug will be extremely soft.
What are Ruggable rugs made of?
Ruggable rugs are made primarily of polyester. The rug pads are made of synthetic thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and 100% recycled polyester.
TPR is a man-made polymer that is a more hypoallergenic alternative to rubber. The rug covers can vary regarding which materials they are made of, depending upon the style.
- The Ruggable Plush Rug Covers are made of modacrylic, acrylic, recycled polyester, and a polyurethane water-resistant barrier.
- The Ruggable Chenille Rug Cover is made of polyester with a polyurethane water-resistant barrier and silicone around the edges.
- The Ruggable Outdoor Rug Cover is made of polyester with a polyurethane water-resistant barrier.
- The Ruggable Doormat is made of 100% polyester bristle cover and 100% natural rubber mat (30% of that is recycled rubber). Therefore, this product DOES contain latex.
How long does Ruggable take to ship?
Typically, Ruggable says a consumer can expect their order within 1-2 weeks after order placement. This is due to each order being made to order. However, my order showed up much faster than that. It could be for a few different reasons. But, either way, I was pleasantly surprised at the swift shipping time.
Does Ruggable have a warranty?
Yes, they do have a warranty. The warranty currently offered by Ruggable is a 1-year limited warranty. In order to claim the warranty on a product, you must provide proof of your purchase being delivered within 1 year of the claim. You also must provide at least 3 photos of the product and submit all of this information to Ruggable via email.
Ruggable claims they will do their best to resolve the situation to consumer’s satisfaction. If no resolution can be had, they will replace the item with a complimentary replacement.
What is Ruggable’s returns or exchange policy?
All items can be returned for a full refund (minus a $25 restocking fee) within 30 days of the delivery date. However, in order to receive a refund, the product must adhere to the following rules:
- No pet fur or dander
